Terry Williamson, who is walking the coast of Shetland in aid of Mind Your Head, has reached the half way point.
Having started the challenge on 29 May 2010 at Sumburgh Head, Terry has now completed 447 miles. It was Terry's intention to walk the coast in a clockwise direction but as the year wore on he soon realised that weather and ground conditions may hamper this plan. Therefore, in September 2010 he decided to complete the remainder of the walk depending on the ground conditions in a particular area.
Committee member Nicola Halcrow, said "We are extremely proud of what Terry has achieved so far. It has been a very long winter and it's amazing that he has been able to keep going in recent months. We wish him all the very best for the remainder of the walk and look forward to meeting him back at Sumburgh Head."
So far Terry has raised £1,649.50.
