There have been a number of folk who have walked, run or cycled the length of Shetland but few have walked the coastline.

Well now, local man Terry Williamson from Dunrossness is taking on the challenge to walk an estimated 900 miles around mainland Shetland and all 10 permanently inhabited islands – and all in aid of Mind Your Head.

While Terry was off work with depression he started to think of ways to relax, get fit and prepare to get back to work. He has always enjoyed walking around Shetland’s coast and so the idea started to form about walking and at the same time raise money for charity.

Nicola Halcrow of Mind Your Head said “We are thoroughly delighted that Terry has chosen to support Mind Your Head in this way. It is no mean feat taking on this challenge and we wish Terry all the best on the walk.”
