Mind Your Head are delighted to announce the launch of their new look website, which has been developed by NB Communications and was made possible thanks to a grant from Awards For All.
When working on the new look the local charity has taken the opportunity to increase and update a lot of the information on mental health and wellbeing. This includes a new feature called 'Focus of the month' which has been researched over the last twelve months. A volunteer with the charity researched traffic on the website to explore which areas of information relating to mental health and wellbeing were searched for at certain times of the year. Jacqui Clark, Team Leader with Mind Your Head, said "This has been really helpful for us in understanding exactly what information the community in Shetland are looking to find at certain times of the year. We can now ensure that we get the right information out there whilst promoting mental health positively."
The charity have also recently compiled the results of their community survey which was launched in April this year. The report publishing the finding of the research will be launched at their AGM on the 23rd of September but feedback gathered on the old website has been taken into account. This has included adding information and advice targeted at young people. They have also added a new feature called Why mental health matters to me which follows on from a real life stories project they started in 2013. That project will be further developed during the autumn.
The website address is www.mindyourhead.org.uk
The mental health information section of the website has been sponsored by BP Sullom Voe Terminal.
