We are delighted to share that we are in collaboration with the Farm Safety Foundation – Yellow Wellies for their fourth annual Mind Your Head campaign on the 15th to the 19th of February 2021.
The campaign is aimed at raising awareness of an issue that few in the industry want to talk about but that affects one in four people in the world at some point in their lives.
According to recent research carried out by the Farm Safety Foundation, 88% of farmers under 40 now rate poor mental health as the biggest hidden problem faced by farmers (an increase from 81% in 2018). The UK-wide survey of 450 young farmers also revealed that 89% believe that talking about the issue will remove the stigma attached to it.
As well as the launch release there will be a series of articles and interviews available on the yellowwellies.org website. The campaign will also see a feature on Mind Your Head’s Feel Good Bag Project, which has seen a significant increase in demand as a result of the pandemic. Throughout this week, Mind Your Head will be sharing highlighted content from the campaign through our social media channels.
