Why mental health matters

As part of Suicide Prevention Awareness Week 2014, Mind Your Head have launched their new initiative called 'Why Mental Health Matters'.

The campaign will continue over the next few months and will incorporate real life stories of mental health and well as personal opinon on why mental health matters.

Jacqui Clark, Team Leader with Mind Your Head said "We know from our recent community survey that stigma is still very much alive and kicking in our community.  We feel that in order to tackle that we have to improve understanding of an illness which we know touches many lives.  We hope this campaign will improve our community's understanding and help us all to promote mental health more positively in Shetland."
