If you are a young person and are worried about your own mental health or the mental health of someone you know, the best option would be to ask for help.

Mind Your Head has recently launched Well Youth, a service aimed at supporting young people in Shetland to look after their mental health and wellbeing.

Well Youth can provide the following (for free):

  • One-to-one support sesions for those aged 10-25 years

If you are unsure about reaching out to us for help, why not speak to a trusted friend, family member, or adult at home or in school. A GP or ANP appointment would also be good place to start. The important thing is that you talk to a trusted person about whatever is bothering you.
