Community Mediation
Sometimes problems can escalate and this can cause disputes in your neighbourhood or local community. The Community Mediation service involves introducing an impartial third party to help resolve such disputes. Family Mediation
Family mediation supports parents and children through family change and disruption, particularly where this has occurred as a result of separation, divorce or family restructuring. Hopeline UK
A confidential helpline service staffed by trained professionals who can give support, practical advice and information to anyone concerned about themselves or a young person they know who may be at risk. The helpline is open Monday – Friday from 10am – 5pm and 7pm – 10pm, and 2pm – 5pm on weekends. Helpline: 0800 068 41 41.
Parentline Scotland
ParentLine Scotland is a service provided by CHILDREN 1st, one of Scotland's leading and longest established childcare charities. CHILDREN 1ST works to give every child in Scotland a safe and secure childhood. They believe in helping parents so that they can provide the best possible care for their children. Relationships Scotland Couple Counselling
Relationship Counselling is there to offer people a safe space in which they can explore how they feel about and experience their relationships with counsellors who are trained in and experienced in working with relationship difficulties. They aren’t there to tell you what to do or to judge or try to advise you, and they don’t have an agenda about ‘saving’ the relationship. Samaritans

Sexual Abuse Survivors
S.A.S. are a Shetland based friendly support network who believe: Sexual abuse can happen once or many times, when a person of any age, sex or nationality is MADE to watch, look at or take part in anything sexual. Supportline
SupportLine provides emotional support and information to children, young people and adults throughout the UK by a telephone helpline, email and post. The service is particularly aimed at those who are vulnerable, isolated, at risk and victims of any form of abuse. They deal with a wide range of issues including child abuse, self harm, eating disorders, domestic violence, mental health, anxiety, and depression. The Helpline number is: 01708 765200. Women's Aid
Women’s Aid work to end violence against women. Shetland women’s aid can offer you confidential information and support on keeping yourself and your family as safe as possible. Young Minds Parents Helpline
